Adverse Event Reporting

At RidgeCrest Herbals, we are justifiably proud of our excellent safety record, which is the result of: 1) our unique methods of formulation; and 2) our relentless attention to quality. However, any product that is taken internally has some potential for adverse events (serious unintended consequences), side effects, and drug interactions. If you experience any of these, we want to hear about it.

Serious adverse events

Serious adverse events are those which require medical attention. The law requires that we collect and report detailed information about these events if they happen. This information can be collected in two ways.

First, you can get the FDA 3500 form and complete it yourself, sending a copy to the FDA (if you wish) and a copy to us at our fax number, 801-978-9650.
Alternatively, you can call us and we will complete the required form based on the information you give us, adding information from our records as required.

Other events

We also want to know about any lesser side effects and any possible drug interactions with any of our products. While we believe that our unique methods of formulation make these events less likely, we very much want to identify and track these events when they occur.

Most concerns we hear about are both extremely rare and quite mild. One common problem is that because these symptoms are rare, we can't really tell whether the symptoms are caused by our products in rare cases, or are just random coincidence. Here are some steps that can help to identify whether the symptoms are related to one of our products.

Note the time when the symptoms first appeared. Was it shortly after you started taking a RidgeCrest product? Was there anything else that changed in your life about the same time? Pay special attention to new stressors or changes in diet, environment, or activities. Try to avoid these kinds of changes as much as possible as you try the following steps.
Stop taking the RidgeCrest product, and observe whether there is any change in the symptoms. If the symptoms continue for several days even after you discontinue use of the product, then it is less likely that the symptoms are related to the use of the product.
Finally, after discontinuing the product for a few days, start taking it again and observe whether the symptoms reappear, or get worse. If not, then again, it is less likely that the symptoms are related to the use of the product. If they do recurr, PLEASE REPORT THIS TO US, along with any medications you may be taking. We can then evaluate your experience with those of others, and determine how often and under what circumstances the symptoms may occur.
