RidgeCrest Herbals was formed in 1994 by Clyde StClair and Paul Warnock. Clyde had worked in the natural products industry for many years, with experience both as a retailer, and as a sales executive with several large manufacturers. Paul Warnock was a successful entrepreneur and financial manager with experience in a variety of industries. Paul and Clyde met while both were consulting for a company that manufactured herbal remedies for the professional market.
Clyde and Paul soon realized that there was a place in the natural health market for professional quality formulas. Professional formulas were often more complex and costly than the simpler formulas typically sold in health food stores, but also more effective. They licensed several formulas from the company where they met, and formed RidgeCrest to take those formulas to the over-the-counter market.
From small beginnings, RidgeCrest Herbals grew quickly. In 1998, our ClearLungs formula became the best-selling lung formula in the country. This was closely followed by strong results with several other formulas, including SinusClear, Blood Sugar Balance, and VisionAid. Some of our best successes were with formulas that were based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
In 2002, RidgeCrest Herbals introduced Blood Pressure Formula, which combined a TCM formula with homeopathic medicines. Combining homeopathy and herbal medicine has important advantages that are not available from either discipline alone.
RidgeCrest has a unique problem-oriented approach to product development. No one person creates our formulas-- instead each formula is developed by a team created for the particular problem being studied. These teams often bring together prefessionals from several different natural healing disciplines, including nutrition, herbal medicine, homeopathy, and other fields.
RidgeCrest Herbals is now in its second generation of family involvement. It continues its commitment to innovation while respecting the healing traditions that have created the field of alternative medicine. RidgeCrest Herbals has several patents pending on new developments in the field of natural medicine.
